The short answer
This policy explains what personal information RapidHeat UK collects when you order, why we need it, and the rights you have over it.

Written and checked by the RapidHeat UK team · how we work out running costs
Who we are
RapidHeat UK sells portable plug-in ceramic heaters to customers in the United Kingdom through getrapidheat.co.uk. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at support@getrapidheat.co.uk.
What we collect
- Order details — your name, email address, delivery address, postcode and phone number, plus what you ordered.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor. Card numbers are entered on the processor's secure fields and are never stored on our servers.
- Support messages — anything you send us by email so we can help you.
- Basic usage data — pages viewed and device type, used only to keep the site fast and working.
Why we use it
- To take payment, pack and deliver your order, and send tracking updates.
- To handle returns, refunds and warranty claims.
- To answer your questions.
- To meet our legal and tax record-keeping duties.
Our lawful bases are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running the shop securely, and legal obligation for tax records.
Who we share it with
Orders are placed on our secure checkout, provided by Shopify. Your delivery and payment details are processed by Shopify and its payment providers, and we share your name and address with our courier only to deliver your order. If you email us directly, we share your message only with our email provider. We never sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for six years to satisfy UK tax rules. Support emails are kept for two years. You can ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to certain processing, or ask us to restrict it. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed for this site to function, such as remembering the bundle you selected. We do not use advertising cookies that profile you across other websites.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, payment details go straight to our payment processor, and access to order records is restricted to the staff who need it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the page. Please check back before placing a new order.
