How we handle reviews on this site

Every rating shown here comes from customers who bought RapidHeat through this site. We publish the critical comments alongside the positive ones, because a heater that suits a small bedroom genuinely will not suit a draughty double garage, and hiding that only creates returns. We do not pay for reviews, we do not delete a review for being negative, and we do not edit wording beyond removing personal details such as full addresses.

What reviewers praise most

• Speed in a small space. The most repeated comment is warm air within a minute or two at a desk, bedside or in a small bathroom — which is exactly what a PTC ceramic fan heater is built for.
• Quietness. Bedroom and nursery users repeatedly mention that it does not keep them awake, and that a soft hum is very different from a bare fan heater.
• Not heating the whole house. Customers working from home use it in one room and leave the central heating off during the day.
• Thermostat and timer. Being able to set a temperature and walk away is what stops an electric heater becoming expensive.
• Size and the remote. Light enough to move between a home office in the day and a bedroom in the evening, and changing temperature without getting up is mentioned far more often than you would expect.

The criticisms worth reading before you buy

• It is a room heater, not a house heater. Rated for rooms up to roughly 12 m². In a large open-plan lounge or an uninsulated garage it will take the edge off, not warm the space properly.
• The display is bright at night. A few bedroom users would prefer a dimmer or an off setting for the screen, and turn the heater to face away from the bed.
• There is fan noise. Quiet enough for most people to sleep through, but it is a fan heater — not silent like an oil-filled radiator.
• The fan runs on briefly after switch-off. That is the cool-down cycle protecting the element, but it surprises some people.

People heating one room they actually use — a home office, a bedroom, a bathroom before a bath, a conservatory in spring and autumn — consistently rate it highest. Are RapidHeat reviews elsewhere reliable?

Search results for small heaters are full of near-identical "review" pages that have never touched the product and exist only to earn a commission. Two quick tests: does the page mention a single downside, and does it quote a real figure such as wattage, room size or pence per hour? If it does neither, it is a template.
